Twin City Angels provides a softball program for U5, U7, U9, U11 Boys and Girls along with a Competitive and Recreational softball program for Girls in U13, U15, and U17.

Program Descriptions

Timbits U5 (COED) - 2019/2020

  • An introductory softball for boys and girls.
  • There will be no games, this is a learn-to-play program. 
  • The focus will be on the basics of softball - throwing and catching, hitting a ball off a tee, and running to a designated base. 
  • Parents will be required to assist on the field with their child.

Day of the Week: 

Sunday - In Martensville
Sunday or Monday or Wednesday - In Warman

You can register in either community - no restrictions on address

Time: 5:00pm - 5:45pm or 6:00pm - 6:45pm (spaces will be limited in each session)

Season length: 6-week program begins May 12

Equipment Required:

Softball Glove and Helmet are required

Cost $75

 

Timbits U7 (COED AND FEMALE) - 2017/2018

  • This is our introductory softball program for boys and girls.
  • The focus of this program is a basic understanding of throwing and catching a foam/whiffle ball, making contact with a ball on a tee, and running to a designated base. 
  • Games will be modified. 
  • No travel is required for games.

Day of the Week: 

Monday (practice) and Thursday (game) - In Martensville
Tuesday (practice,) and Thursday (game) - In Warrman

You can register in either community - no restrictions on address

Time: 5:30 pm - 6:30pm or 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Season length: 8-week program begins Practices Begin May 6, Games Begin May 16

 *If games are cancelled for U7 the season may extend into July unless alternate makeup dates can be arranged. 

Equipment Required: 

Softball Glove, Helmet with an attached face mask.
Cleats (rubber) and a bat are not required but are recommended.

Cost $90

 

Timbits U9 (COED AND FEMALE) - 2015/2016

  • The focus is on basic skill development and social interaction along with modified gameplay. Players will begin basic pitching and catching and will be introduced to the rules of softball.
  • This program involves one game and one practice per week on separate nights. 
  • All teams will play in the TCA House League. Travel will be required for games between Warman and Martensville. 
  • Should teams wish to attend additional tournaments or have additional practices this will be at the discretion of the team.

Day of the Week: Games on Wednesdays, Practice Day and Time TBD by Coach 

Time: Games start at 6:00pm - 7:15pm 

Season length: 8-week program - Practices begin the week of April 29th and games begin May 15

 *If games are cancelled for U9 the season may extend into July unless alternate makeup dates can be arranged.   

Equipment Required: 

Softball glove, helmet with an attached face mask, infield mask, and a bat.

Cleats (rubber) are not required but are recommended. 

Cost $120

 

U11 (COED AND FEMALE) - 2013/2014

IF REGISTERING TO BE EVALUATED FOR U11 COMPETITIVE TEAM DO NOT REGISTER FOR U11 REGULAR SEASON, PLAYERS NOT SELECTED FOR THE COMPETITVE TEAMS WILL BE ASKED TO REGISTER ON THE REGULAR SEASON TEAM AFTER THE COMPETITIVE TEAM SELECTION.

  • Players will now be pitching and catching, along with playing all other positions. Players will be introduced to the rules of softball and continue to develop their skills. 
  • This program involves one game and one practice per week.
  • All teams will play in the TCA House League. Travel will be required for games between Warman and Martensville. 
  • Should teams wish to attend additional tournaments or have additional practices this will be at the discretion of the team.

Day of the Week: Games on Thursdays, Practice Day and Time TBD by Coach  

Time: Games start at 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Season length: 8-week program - Practices begin the week of April 29th and games begin May 16 

 *If games are cancelled for U11 the season may extend into July unless alternate makeup dates can be arranged.         

Equipment Required: 

Softball glove, helmet with an attached face mask, cleats (rubber), infield mask, and a bat.

Cost $140  (additional team fees may apply)

 

U11 Competitive (GIRLS) - 2013/2014

IF REGISTERING TO BE EVALUATED FOR U11 COMPETITIVE TEAM DO NOT REGISTER FOR U11 REGULAR SEASON, PLAYERS NOT SELECTED FOR THE COMPETITVE TEAMS WILL BE ASKED TO REGISTER ON THE REGULAR SEASON TEAM AFTER THE COMPETITIVE TEAM SELECTION.

  • This is a higher level of competition.
  • This team will require a higher level of commitment from the players, parents, and coaches.
  • Players will be evaluated prior to the start of the season and the Board along with the Head Coach will form a team(s).
  • Teams will begin practicing indoors in April
  • Teams will practice 1-3 times per week during regular season and will participate in exhibition games and tournament play during the months of May and June.
  • It is the expectation that the “Competitive” team(s) must participate in the “U11 Girls Provincial Championships.
  • Team fundraising and additional team fees will be required
